The email thread it replaces
A customer can't book what they can't price. Right now the price lives in your head, so every inquiry turns into a conversation.
Without it
Four emails over four days, and nobody has a number yet.
Hi, how much would it be to cater my daughter's graduation party? Around 80 people on the 12th.
Congratulations. Menu is attached. Which package were you thinking? And where is the party?
The middle one, I think. Is dessert extra? We're about 30 miles out. Is the 12th still open?
Sorry, we went with someone who got back to us with a price. Thanks anyway.

Setting it up
If your menu is already priced, most of the work is typing it in. There is no code to write.
- Type in your prices
Packages, add-ons, your minimum, travel fees and the dates you are booked. The form beside the settings changes as you type, and nothing goes live until you press Publish.
- Paste one line into your site
The setup guide shows where it goes on Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Showit and Shopify.
- Answer requests that already have a price
Each one lands in your inbox with the package, headcount, date and total. Change a price later and your site updates by itself.
The setup video every buyer gets, recorded on the real settings page with a made-up BBQ truck.
When it's not the right fit
Better you find out here than after paying.
- You price every job from scratchThe form works from packages priced per guest, with add-ons on top. If no two of your quotes look alike, it will not have much to work with.
- You want a deposit taken onlineIt collects the request, not money. You confirm and invoice the way you do now.
- You need it to hold the dateIt shows the dates you mark as booked, but the customer is told you will confirm. It cannot lock a date for them.
- You don't have a website yetIt needs a website to sit on. If your business lives on Instagram for now, there is nowhere to paste it yet.
- Your business is outside the USIt is sold to US businesses only for now. A purchase from outside the US is refunded in full.
Questions
Do I need to know code?
No. You type your prices into a settings page and copy one line into your website. The setup guide walks through Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Showit and Shopify, click by click. Wix needs one extra step, sizing the box the form sits in, and the guide covers it.
Which website builders does it work on?
Any website that lets you paste HTML onto a page. The setup guide has steps for Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Showit and Shopify. I have not tested others, like GoDaddy or Square Online. Some builders run pasted code inside a box on their own address, and only those five builders' addresses can be allowed in your settings, so on another builder the form may say "unlicensed". If it does not work on yours, the 14-day refund covers it.
What happens right after I pay?
Stripe sends you straight to a page that opens your settings, and a welcome email follows with a sign-in link, the setup guide and the setup video. Start from a sample setup and change the numbers to yours, or type your own. Nothing reaches your website until you press Publish.
Where do the quote requests go?
To your email, with everything the customer picked and their contact details. The customer gets a copy that says it is an estimate until you confirm. Hitting reply answers the customer directly. Requests are emailed, not stored.
Do you keep my customers' details?
No. Each request is emailed to you and to the customer who asked, and the kit does not keep a copy. To stop spam, it keeps a scrambled version of the customer's email and internet address for up to two days, then deletes it. I never sell or share any of it.
Will I get spam requests?
Very few. Every request passes a bot check that most people never see, one visitor can send at most 5 requests an hour, and the form refuses to send from any website but yours.
Can I change my prices later?
Any time. Sign in to your settings page with a link sent to your email, change what you need, and press Publish. Your website updates by itself, with nothing to paste again.
How many packages and add-ons can I have?
Up to 8 packages, each priced per guest, with up to 6 lower prices for bigger groups. Up to 12 add-ons, each charged per guest or as one flat price. You also set an event minimum and up to 5 travel distance bands.
Can I add a service charge or sales tax?
Yes. In your settings you can add a service charge as a percent, under your own name for it, and your local sales tax rate. You can also charge more on certain days, like Saturdays or the holidays, and customers see those days marked on the calendar. The form shows one total with every charge listed under it, and so do both emails. Leave them at 0 and your prices work exactly as they do now.
Can it match my website?
It uses your website's own font. In your settings you pick the color for buttons and highlights, a light or dark background, and rounded or square corners.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. When there is not much room, like on a phone, the form becomes one column, and the price and the Send button stay in view at the bottom. Your settings page works on a phone too, so you can change a price from anywhere.
Does it know which dates I'm booked?
Only the ones you mark. You tick booked dates and closed days in your settings and customers see them on the calendar. It does not connect to Google Calendar, and it does not hold a date: the customer is told you will confirm.
Can I use it on more than one website?
One kit covers one business on one website, plus its subdomains, like catering.yourbusiness.com. Moving to a new address? Change it yourself in your settings, up to 3 times in 30 days. A second business needs its own kit.
What if it's not right for me?
Email me within 14 days of buying and I refund you in full. Refunding switches the kit off.
How long does it keep working?
For as long as I run the Quote Kit, with no monthly fee. If that ever stops, you get at least 90 days of notice by email and a copy of your settings. The license terms have the rest in plain words.
Put your prices on your website.
